Service Projects

Throughout our Center we work to teach and model what it means to be a person of integrity. This happens when we teach any value but as the children grow older it becomes important to broaden the scope of their involvement. In both the Schoolage and the Preschool Centers we move beyond ourselves and our families to involvement in the world. Learning to serve others, to care for others and to invest ourselves in the betterment of the world is a Christian value and one of the principles of our nation.

Preschool Center

Throughout the year the children are encourage to make cards and gifts for not just their families but shut-ins and others in need. As a part of the Preschool Class curriculum the children bring gifts for needy babies to our Birthday Party for Jesus. They celebrate “April Showers” by bringing donations of shower and bath supplies for a homeless shelter.

Schoolage Center

Besides taking part in the same kind of activities as we talked about the Preschoolers doing the Schoolage children provide gifts for the shut-ins at First Bethel Church on a regular basis. They also visit the elderly and share in other service projects, especially during the summer when they have more time.
