Schoolage Center
Facts about the Schoolage Center
- First Bethel Kings School Kids offers care for Schoolage children from Kindergarten through age fifteen.
- This care is available before and after school as well as on days when the public school has half-days, no school or snow delays.
- Besides offering time for homework, an afternoon snack and social time with peers, we have a curriculum that provides enrichment and entertainment for our schoolagers.
- During the school year as well as during the summer we offer various opportunities to take part in out reach programs. This age group also takes weekly field trips during the summer.
- Bus transportation is available to and from the Center and the public and private schools in Bethel Park. This can be arranged through the Bethel Park School District.
What Parents Must Supply
- Make sure that you mark everything you send to the Center with your child’s name.
- Schoolage Room all food – we do not heat food, extra clothes, remember socks.
Meals
- Schoolage Room: We will serve breakfast to children when the children arrive so they will be ready to get their bus. If it is a "no school day" and they arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. we will serve breakfast at about 8:00 a.m. Parents must provide this meal.
- The Center provides morning and afternoon snacks. If it is a school day we provide afternoon snack only.
- Breakfast and Lunch are provided by the children’s families and in the Schoolage Room these meals are eaten "family style" That means we will sit together and talk as we each eat our own meals. We will work on using our manners, making conversation and using good eating habits while we dine.
- Snacks are provided for the Schoolage Center by Kings School Kids and they are eaten family style.
